Jr. Architect Intern:

Will assist on all phases of projects from presentations and conceptual design to contract drawings, shop drawing checks, site visitation and project closeout.

Responsibility include the following:

• Assists with schematic designs and the preparation of presentation drawings, models and narratives.
• Assist with architectural drawings.
• Assists with the coordination of the engineering disciplines through all phases.

Organizational Relationships

This position will report to the Facilities Manager. Will work under the direction of a project manager, architect or designer.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Masters preferred (professional degree).
• Entry level position.
• Working toward licensure in Architecture and enrolled in NCARB’s Intern Development Program.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Some understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations.
• Some understanding of building systems and site requirements.
• Highly organized, detail-driven and conscientious.
• Able to work with reasonable direction and supervision.
• Good working knowledge of current version of AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel. 3-D a plus.
