Drafting/CADD
- Intensive AutoCAD training
- Prime and industry drafting standards
- AutoCAD settings and tools
- Review of previous design project examples
- Progressive responsibilities covering all aspects of engineering document production (drawings, specifications, reports), management, and delivery
- Problem Solving
Engineering
- Technical research
- Telephone
- Internet
- Vendor meetings
- Design calculations
- Specification and report preparation
- Facility and systems design input
- Site visits and review of project facilities to document conditions
Administrative
- Project correspondence and documentation
- Staff and project review meetings
- In-house technical, administrative, and business development training sessions
- Regular performance appraisals and suggestion forums for improvements by Prime
Work Environment
- Professional office etiquette maintained at all times
- Business attire Monday-Thursday, business casual Friday
- Hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (lunch 12-1) with overtime as needed
- Periodic project site visits in a construction environment
- Co-ops work on multi-discipline project teams
- Co-ops are assigned both Drafting/CADD and Engineering mentors

- Each co-op is hired with the intention that he or she will become a full-time employee of Prime Engineering upon graduation. Throughout the co-op’s tenure, Prime will dedicate a tremendous amount of resources teaching and training and we expect, in return, for co-op employees to engage in and utilize these opportunities.
