This $10 million maintenance hangar is proposed to accommodate Atlantic Southeast Airways regional airline operations and maintenance expansion requirements. The 35,000sf hangar accommodates five (5) 50 seat regional jets. The 75 foot tall hangar is programmed to be a prefabricated hot dipped galvanized steel structure covered with a translucent, fabric membrane roof.
The mezzanine of this structure houses management offices, engineering and administrative areas, and training rooms and includes following site elements:
- Employee parking for 40 vehicles
- Airport security fencing and controlled access to AOA
- Extension of Taxiways A3, A4 and A5 to serve hangar
- Extension of the airfield lighting system
- 45,000 square foot Aircraft parking apron for three CRJ’s
- Tug and fork lift parking area
- Industrial wastewater pretreatment system
- First flush stormwater quality management system
- Utility systems including sanitary sewer, domestic and fire suppression water, stormwater sewers, and natural gas.
