To sustain its impressive level of expansion, Advance Auto needs a civil engineering partner who can design new franchise sites and then reproduce those designs, in swift and precise fashion, on a variety of site layouts. Prime Engineering, Inc. is that partner. Prime has an ongoing contract with Advance Auto to provide civil engineering and site development for new Advance Auto stores as they open. To date, Prime has designed more than 20 Advance Auto facilities in four states. Prime’s comprehensive suite of services combines surveying (ALTA boundary, topographic, as-built), environmental site assessments, schematic designs, concept layout plans, construction documents, permitting, and construction staking. These diverse project tasks are smoothly integrated into a unified process that is overseen by a single responsive consultant.   To facilitate the franchise’s business needs, Prime typically prepares both the concept plans and construction drawings under accelerated schedules. Prime is able to meet Advance Auto’s tight deadlines due to a number of advantages: Prime has developed a versatile and reusable store prototype that can be quickly customized and built in a variety of configurations. Prime’s in-house Surveying Department has the experience to conduct site surveys under shortened schedules while maintaining accuracy, thereby facilitating quick conceptual and construction document turnaround. Prime has considerable experience designing auto parts facilities and understands the franchise’s needs without having to “reinvent the wheel.” Prime’s standard conceptual site design includes parking layouts featuring handicap parking access, landscaping islands, storm drainage, and delivery truck access to the store loading dock. Prime supplements the conceptual design with erosion, sedimentation, and pollution control plans and details; grading and drainage plans; site layout and staking plans; storm and sanitary sewer plans and profiles; utility location plans; and landscape plans.
