The Fuqua Orchid House at Atlanta Botanical Garden Atlanta, Georgia Client Challenge: Incorporate stormwater detention pond into the natural surroundings of the exterior gardens of this nationally known facility without creating an eyesore/distraction.   PRIME Solution: Designed rock lined pool that maintains a minimal pool elevation and limits water fluctuation to 9-inches.  The plant material selected to utilize in this pond would thrive under these conditions.  The result is a stormwater detention pond that is not easily detected by the general public because of the natural setting and incorporation of aquatic vegetation.
