A building originally constructed to be a fire station for an aircraft manufacturing facility needed to be renovated and updated after years of use for other purposes. |

Prime Engineering, Inc. provided comprehensive design, construction administration services for a 5,000sf fire station facility renovation to be suitable for around the clock manning. Project entailed a fairly aggressive schedule to accommodate programmed facility improvements and included coordination of contractors and regular on-site inspection/observation during renovation construction.
Scope involved the following:
- Upgrading Fire Chief’s office and quarters
- Adding 3 new bunk rooms
- Kitchen facilities
- Shower and exercise room for the fire fighting staff
- Replacement and upgrade of flooring, ceilings, electrical and HVAC systems
- New paint
- Extension of the fire sprinkler system.
- Truck bay renovations including operators for 4 roll-up doors, and a truck exhaust system.
