Liberty Heights Community Infrastructure Improvements

Upgrade the infrastructure system of a 50 year old subdivision while minimizing the impact to individual residents and maintaining resident involvement. Upgrade included new curb and gutter, sidewalks, stormwater collection system as well as sanitary sewer and water distribution improvements.

| PRIME Solution: |
Designed improvements to be within existing right-of-way to minimize property acquisition/encroachment. Conducted review/public input sessions at local church to obtain/maintain public participation. $10 million worth of improvements phased over a four-year period to minimize impact on existing residents.

Prime Engineering provided surveying, detailed engineering design, and construction administration for infrastructure improvements in the Liberty Heights Community. Funded in part by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the work entails addressing aging infrastructure on 26 separate streets.

Design services include developing design schedule, plan preparations and revisions, progress meetings, preparation of bid documents, easement / permit plats /drawings, public / property owner meetings, and providing construction timetable schedule and cost estimate.
- Surveying services included research of property, ownership and utility records, detailed topographic as-built data for utility line routing options. Survey and research included water distribution lines, sanitary sewer lines, and storm drainage piping. Provided surveys for sidewalk and roadway improvements and prepared plats for right-of way easement acquisitions.
