Prime ABA, LP is seeking an Accounts Payable and Payroll Manager with experience in the Engineering/Architectural industry using Deltek Vision for project-based accounting.

Applicant should have a solid understanding of accounting, strong managerial and organizational skills and enjoy working in a small team environment.  The desired location for this position is either Atlanta, GA or Richmond, VA.

Under general direction and supervision of the Controller, the duties will include:

Accounts Payable

  • Setup and maintenance of vendors, including all required vendor documentation
  • Review and verify vendor invoices, create AP vouchers
  • Prepare AP reports for payment approval to VP Finance
  • Review and process all employee expense reports
  • Process AP checks
  • Process, pay and reconcile company credit cards
  • Ensure vendor documentation and W-9 are filed in accordance with company policy
  • Provide Billing Department with documentation needed to support client invoices.
  • Ensure all AP transactions are completed in accordance with company policy.
  • Reconcile AP monthly and resolve outstanding issues
  • Maintain and update AP policy and procedures manual as needed
  • POC for all AP inquiries

Payable (outsourced)

  • Enter and maintain all relevant employee data in Deltek Vision and outsourced vendor system
  • Process weekly employee timesheets
  • Process alternating bi-weekly payroll
  • Prepare, post, and reconcile all payroll-related general ledger entries
  • Coordinate with vendor to update benefit schedules and to research and resolve issues
  • Work with external tax specialists and state agencies to open and maintain proper filings
  • Introduce and train new employees on payroll system

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of AP and Payroll experience is required
  • Current or prior Deltek Vision experience is required
  • MS Excel and Word experience is required
  • Must be able to work independently and with the accounting finance team to take initiative to resolve problems and to meet deadlines needed to support team objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capability for “self-starting,” and problem solving, meeting deadlines, and adapting to new environments or challenges.
  • Ability to discreetly manage business sensitive and confidential information
