Prime Engineering, Inc. is currently seeking a Structural Engineer who is self-motivated and ready to contribute to the future success and growth of our team.
Job Duties
- Produce Construction Documents including drawings and specifications.
- Computer modeling for document production and analysis.
- Complete calculations to solve problems and provide solutions.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and assist in preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
- Conduct field investigations and other assessments and collect field data, measurements, and notes to document existing facilities and conditions.
- Develop detailed reports, structural assessments, and repair recommendations.
- Determine client needs and produce solutions that are within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Perform construction phase services such as submittal review, responding to contractor requests for information (RFIs), conducting site investigation visits, etc.
- Meet project budgets, schedules, and performance criteria in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Possess an outgoing and positive attitude and the ability to communicate with client staff and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited university.
- EIT is a plus, with minimum 3-5 years of experience preferred.
- PE Preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is required.
- Experience in designing buildings, including warehouses and/or distribution centers is a plus.
- Experience in designing structural systems in multiple materials (concrete, steel, masonry, wood, etc.) is a plus
- Some travel is required, primarily in the continental United States (approximately 10%).
- COVID vaccination in accordance with the OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard is required.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and personal computer skills.
